The RB-Focus Nimue V1.0 has arrived on the market, an intelligent regulator that allows stabilizing and filtering electricity from batteries or transformers. It allows to power the astronomical equipment with constant voltage, and at the same time, it avoids damages or sudden blackouts, product of the discharge of the batteries.

With its 10A of peak power, it delivers enough power with a stable voltage of 12.6v, regardless of the input voltage supplied, making it ideal for battery applications.

The Nimue optimizes batteries while protecting against over-discharge and short-circuiting. Due to its stabilized output, it will allow us to discharge them safely up to 10.5V, maintaining a constant supply for the astronomical equipment. This optimizes the payload and allows us to get more session hours using smaller units. Our tests ensure that with only 50Ah it is possible to do a full night (8 hours) even using refrigerated cameras.

Since the system must always be regulated and stable, it is necessary to have a meter at the input to monitor the battery voltage. This is why we have integrated an input voltage meter, which consists of a display that shows the voltage of the battery or transformer in real time.

It includes robust XT30 connectors that provide up to 30A of charge without heating up or loosening. These are a standard rarely used in astrophotography, but very famous among practitioners of other hobbies such as model aircraft and drone racing because of how safe and resistant they are even in the open.
